So is the Oregon social service program. In any other state my brother would be in skilled nursing. In Oregon he can stay in assisted living with extra help. In the end it is cheaper and much, much better. The reason this can happen is that Oregon has a waiver from the Federal gov that allows them to put medicare money into their state health program then allocate it according to what works. Not surprising what works best is just like what the Europeans found under socialized medicine; least intervention in approriate environments. Weird browser. I was scheduled for surgery on my left ear (the only one I can hear out of) May 29th but the aggressive Mercury rx has me spooked before it's begun. So I put it off til July when the planetary energies are more harmonious (thanks Neith for *that* advice!)
