I really like this one. It reminds me of a bay in southwestern Ireland with a very wide sandy beach that I visited many years ago. :)

OOOOoooo great comment. The rain makes the coast of Oregon so lush. And it is wild still along much of the shoreline. It’s like stepping back in time. Rivers cascade down to the beach through forests of old Cedars and Firs. Just a few days on the Oregon coast resets my whole being, it’s magic.

Sweet Fragrance and Taste of Salt and Snow are 2 outstanding works of Art. They are brilliant. I especially like Taste of SS for its depth and contrasts of colour and texture. Looking at it I am transported to my beloved Oregon Coast of sand dunes and oyster shacks. I am standing at the edge of the water with my toes in the sand gazing at the hills in the near distance.

We share many ‘likes’ I am blown away by this.

You write and paint in a most lyrical manner. With my small knowledge of Astrology I would take you for a Pisces. (LOL)
Many thanks Tseka, for this visual feast. PB

Hej duCan welcome to tseka. Thank you for such a beautiful comment. These are spellbinding places.

Ja, Taste of Salt and Snow is the kind of painting for which I am “known” - painted cut-apart, reassembled, painted some more. Cutting apart leaves spaces to invite the viewer to enter and fill in with their own memories. The paintings are never done until the viewer completes them.

Sweet Fragrance, and the small paintings in that gallery/tseka are my love letters. I go outside and simply paint without any thought at all. When i get too cold i bring them into the studio to see what the wind created.

The bees have just arrived with the first catkins in my Ash, perhaps they have new stories for the colour to create.

Not too LOL…that’s actually quite perceptive, I have Pisces intercepted in my first house. Some say that an interception is a sign that i cannot use others say that i completely own it. NN is in Pisces close to my very late Aquarian Ascendant so it’s pretty active.

You are most welcome Tseka! Your medium of cutting, reassembling and painting is very interesting. It does draw the viewer in. I love all of your works.

OMG! Now I understand the similarities. I am a double Aquarian, with a Pisces NN. shsh, don’t let anyone know I told you this. (LOL)

Can you please elaborate on what is an interception? Thanks kindly.

OK, It will be our little secret, ;>

Sure, the intercepted sign has no house cusp. This happens quite a bit for people born in the north or at the solstice. (Both for me) Taking my chart, I have a late Aquarius Asc the whole of Pisces and most of Aries as a first house in some house systems. Of course the 7th mirrors this with Leo on the Descendant, all of Virgo and most of Libra. This leaves some houses such as my 10th with my Sun and my 5th pretty skinny. Using different house systems changes the cusps a little. A lot of people prefer Koch for northern born. I myself am growing fond of Porphyry.

Joe Landwehr brought this system to my attention in his marvelous book, “Tracking the Soul with an Astrology of Consciousness.” Astropoetic, he calls his work, a joining of poetry and astrology. I believe it has been said by Joe and if not by him, others, that the language of the soul is poetry. Who can disagree?

Depending on when in Aquarius you arrived you may face similar and might want to play with changing houses systems and see how they fit.

Thanks for the explanation Tseka. I understand it now. I looked at my chart with my ascendant starting at 3 degrees Aquarius. The pie is evenly divided with just a difference ranging from 1 to 5 degrees until it gets to the 12th house. I don’t think I have an intercepted sign. This is great! I learnt something big today. I will certainly try to get Joe Landwhehr”s book. It sounds great. Thanks once again. I am now off to nurse this terrible head cold.
